Pride

Tearing through the jungle,
the plains and the seas.
The mightiest of creatures battle here.

Sneaking up so softly,
without sight or sound.
The highest of the creature prepare to pounce.

Wrestling down their pray,
holding down the fort.
The greatest strength to gain submission given.

Ecstasy of the kill,
the mutual release from stress.
Offering a quick death and not to linger.

star shines
they beam out from you.

moon glows
it shows
the love you want to too.

no regrets

no regrets
regrets are for what you didn't do
when you know you wanted to

run into the wind screaming
don't walk silently
Run through fields and be an airplane
then stop and stare intently at the view
I have no regrets
as they're for what I didn't do

Why live with regrets?
opportunity knocks rare enough
staring intently doesn't get you there
walk while singing
jump on the bed
buy a bouncier one if it breaks
I shall not have regrets
I know what I want to do

if the moment arises
and you knew long ago you'd like to try
Why the hell not?
best friends only exist through chances
as do life's best experiences
Jump into waterfalls
look at the beautiful girl
if she see's, maybe shes looking at you too

that girl

we talked
only for a minute or to
and all i wanted to do
was stay and talk some more

made me smile when we met
told you where id be
in a week, hope you'll find me
or if not i find you sooner

Theatre masks

smooth, unblemished,unbroken
heated and cooled,no token
or hint to show the change
of painters thoughts rearranged.

yet the mask breaks
and cracks when paint is applied
the more is seen
the more you try to hide

add the purples, blues and greens
and all the more go in-between,
as the brushstroke grows  defined
more visible the cracks and lines.
up close you cannot hope
to hide from the microscope
 the defects that lie in the masks
but from distance? Safe AT LAST!
those who do not want or wish to see
or are blind to all bar their "me",
think the purple just the same
as its earlier,brighter shade.

but on again the mask is put
before to take another look,
actors posture alters here
a new persona pulls you near

but do not think it does not lack
fractures , breaks,blemish or cracks
to see the truth,now there's the task,
of the face behind, that theater mask.
